FPP and Time with Real Time Clocks (RTC)

We need the time on an FPP devices so we can set timed schedules on our show, but neither a Raspberry Pi (4 & below) nor Beaglebone Black have a Real Time Clock (RTC) chip.
So how do these devices get the current time so they know when to start ??

Note the Adafruit Ultimate GPS Hat uses GPIO 18 NOT GPIO 4 for PPS.
