FPP v9 Proxy Setup & Configuration

Sometimes its not possible to run an ethernet cable from your home router to your show in the front yard…
In this video we run through setting up a Proxy in FPP v9.
The Pi connects to your home wifi network, and the controllers are then wired to the pi. We then setup a new Baldrick controller in xLights 2025.6, push the config to the Baldrick and FPP and then test in FPP.

Note: 18 Aug 25 – I read earlier that the FPP v9 Proxy issues had been resolved in the master branch.

So, I’ve started a fresh image, updated to master and then tested – still no joy.

Ticket raised on FPP Github: https://github.com/FalconChristmas/fpp/issues/2336.

For now, i’d suggest sticking with FPP 8.5.1 as that works fine.

FPP v9 Master / Remote

In this video we’re taking a look at the Master / Remote functionality in FPP v9 and demonstrating why its needed and then how to implement it. Note: There is an issue with copying files between Master & Remote in this release of FPPv9 but it is on the Alpha (testing) release. I have raised a bug with the team #2276

Setting up buttons for audience interaction with our show

In this weeks video we demonstrate how to add a button to a Raspberry Pi running FPP v9 to allow our audience to interact with our show and start a sequence – or more. We also run through how a seond Pi or BBB could be used as part of a podium, so users could chose one or multiple different sequences on a portable device that can put away after show time.

Buttons with Baldrick

Following last weeks video on Buttons with FPP, I only thought it fair to give an alternative option on how to run come buttons for customer interactivity with your show! Baldrick has 3 button inputs, so in this video we demonstrate how to set them up for use with FPP.
